offer a private tutor service in Edgware, North London.
As
a qualified and experienced Educational Consultant, I can provide
the private tuition your child requires.
If
your child needs a little extra help, or if you simply
want
to give them every
advantage you can, I can be of service.
Most
of the children that come to me are long term, so I get to know
them really well and am able to identify and rectify their educational
weaknesses. It's very common for parents to send along their
children prior to 11 plus to aid their entry into good schools.
I
tutor children from the ages of 4 to 16, teaching right across
the ability spectrum whilst forming a trusting relationship
with them. I believe in helping a child develop self esteem
and confidence, improving on their natural abilities and helping
them reach their full potential.
My
teaching programme includes maths, mental arithmetic, reasoning,
history, science and english. I love writing stories for the
children I teach and believe good creative writing is a skill
all children should develop as it gives them good literary skills
which, in turn, helps in all their subjects. As suchn I actively
encourage them to keep a journal and to read prodigeously.
My
experience also extends into special needs and helping children
with dyslexic conditions eg visual sequential memory disorder.
I
believe a good grounding in literature, vocabulary and general
knowledge through fun in education is the greatest gift you
can give your child. My working clubs are where your children
can work hard at learning and yet still have lots of fun.
If you cannot come to Edgware in North London for lessons, your
children can join me on this website for monthly tutorial programmes
at the cost of just £10 per month. Not only will they
learn with me as they follow a carefully structered programme
linked to the national curriculam, but they will get the chance
to enter story and poetry competitions. To help in this, I also
offer story writing courses.
Our
children are our future. The more we invest in them, the greater
the rewards we will all receive.
Tutorial charges:
£ 12 per hour in a group of up to 6 children.
£ 30 per hour for one to one tuition.
